For his award-winning floor, Tom used Bostik's BEST, a one-part, trowel-applied, tacking moisture-cure urethane adhesive. This advanced, scientifically formulated material does not contain water and once cured, it is waterproof. Because it is not adversely affected by exposure to moisture or water, it provides a tough, flexible, tenacious bond to a variety of surfaces, such as the subfloor to which "Blue Pine Swirl" was adhered. The elastomeric characteristics allow this adhesive to move with the wood as it expands and contracts over the life of the floor.
